Do you need to be super old to be nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

You first album should be released 25 years ago to be eligible.|||You have to wait 25 years after your first release before you are eligible :)





If it makes you feel any better, I used think it was very weird that all those older artists were the only ones being nominated ... but then I caught on when Madonna was accepted in 2008 :) Cuz I thought "Oh, the Beatles were accepted in 1983, 25 years after their first album, and then Madonna was accepted in 2008, 25 years after her first album" :D


xx|||It depends on when you start. The rule is 25 years after the first release, but people like Brenda Lee, Stevie Wonder (both 13) and Teresa Brewer (11) could've been in their 30s when inducted (had the Hall of Fame existed then).
