History Of Rock and roll?

im doing a project on the history of rock and roll. Does anyone have any information that i could put on my project i have been working on it for three weeks and cant think of anything to say. PLEASE HELP!|||So you've been working on this for three week and can't think of anything? Did you pick this topic or was it assigned to you?





There are about a million books, websites, documentaries, resources out there on Rock and Roll, and Rock and Roll history ... have you even bothered looking?

PS - Wikipedia is not a valid resource since anyone can edit it, so if you are doing this for school, I recommend looking some other places. (Although sometimes Wikipedia's "resource" section that the bottom of an entry can be helpful for finding valid resources.)|||Rock and Roll music started as a simplification of Rhythm %26amp; Blues. Rock and Roll appealed more to kids because it seemed less ethnic (read black) and easier to dance to than Rhythm %26amp; Blues. Much of the early opposition to Rock and Roll was because white parents lumped it in with Rhythm %26amp; Blues and considered it black music.


Rock and Roll was also influenced by Gospel as well as Country and Western. Later Rock and Roll became simply Rock and we had the British invasion (Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc) then came Punk Rock, Glam Rock, and Metal|||There's TOO MUCH To Say!

You may also want to include info on Sun Studios in Memphis. This is where many artists such as Elvis recorded their first records-it's a really cool place to visit too if you ever get the chance.|||It all stemmed from hymns the slaves would sing that eventually became blues. The R%26amp;R Hall of Fame has some really interesting facts too.
