Is it possible to transfer my itunes library to another computer?

Its been bugging me since like christmas when i got a new laptop. And i'm also likely to get another new one soon, so can i transfer my entire library over easily with full apple support? As in no need to download some itunes rip online or anything like that. So can i just like connect my ipod and sync it? Or connect both computers with an ethernet or something?|||Yes, install iTunes on the new computer as normal. Now look for the iTunes folder in your music directory, there will be a file called "iTunes music library.XML" right click it open with a text pad. Now go to the original computer that you normally sync from.

On your regular " sync computer" open “iTunes Music Library.xml” with a text editor and search for the following text "%26lt;key%26gt;Library Persistent ID%26lt;/key%26gt;"; you should ideally find it at the top of the xml file. We are basically looking for the persistent id of your iTunes library. It appears to be the ID that tells iTunes; if you are syncing with regular computer or a different computer.

In the screen shot below for example the value 8B6C633F7DACB74B in between the %26lt;string%26gt; tags is the persistent id of the iTunes library on the "sync computer" . Copy this entry and close the file.

Now paste the key I to a new text file save it in to a portable drive and move it to the computer you like to add... Open your text file and the iTunes library file with a text document look for the "string" and change it with the one from your portable device... Close the file and start iTunes plug your iPod or iPhone and you will see they are accepted without formatting.

The next step is to copy your music library from the old computer to a portable device then plug the device to the new computer open iTunes , edit , preferences, (i think is the last tab) has your library location... Look under and put a check mark on something like " add playing media to library" ok it . Now drag all your media to the iTunes window... It may take a while but it will accept all ... And your last step is to authorize the computer thru iTunes for any purchases done over iTunes.....

Good luck!!!|||If you want to know how to Transferring itunes songs to a new computer, I think iTunes to iTunes Transfer would help you: http://cucusoft-itunes-to-itunes-transfe…
