Will there be a day when true rock and roll comes back.?

I'm talking about the good stuff like AC/DC, Sabbath, Metalica, The Beatles, The Stones, or Guns and Roses. I know that some of these bands are still around but I wanna know if there will ever be an end to this rap techno and mainstream shi*Will there be a day when true rock and roll comes back.?
heaven and hell (yeah, i know their not new), ace frehley (same) are still puting real good bluesy hard rock and metal out.



cagethe elephant, coheed and cambria, wolfmother, charm city devils, STEEL MUTHA F*CKING PANTHER, jet, buckcherry, the darkness (and the bands it became)



all those bands are putting out music like its still the 60s and 70s and 80s. hope i helped and i agree with you



some new stuff is good though, like kittie and theory of a deadman and puddle of mudd and others are new and good

There are few modern acts significantly worse than AC/DC.



Specifically commenting on the last sentence - rap and electronic music (which I assume is what you mean by techno) were around before Metallica and Guns N' Roses. As for mainstream sh*t, what? If the underground is mainstream, then it won't be underground anymore. If you hate something purely because it's mainstream, you're not only a moron, you're also never going to be happy.

Izzy Stradlin

Steven Adler

Axl Rose

1 axl rose is full of himself and thinks he is Gods gift to the world, you know he is good but not that great plus he has a real bad temper

2 they dont get along anymore (when i say they i mean duff slash izzy vs. axl)

3 Steven Adler is still doing every drug known to man and wont stop which was why he got kicked out anyways.

thats just my take of guns n roses i pray that rock will come back and it kinda has not as many people like rap and pop since rock band and guitar hero came out
Classic rock style music will never return to the mainstream, only the underground. A new band I know of with a sound similar to Black Sabbath is Witchcraft. Check them out.



There is also some good mainstream rock like Radiohead, REM, and Beck (just my opinion), but the vast majority of it is terrible.



Rock will never die though. Look at classical music. It's hundreds of years old, and people still listen to it. Same deal with Jazz and oldies.Will there be a day when true rock and roll comes back.?
I agree that the rap techno is crap and i completly reject mainstream music now but i dont think it will ever come back. my favorite bands after 17 years sold out when they released there new albums this year and when your favorite band sells out, you know that GOOD music is lost.
That's why you make your own band, and ty to be famous and bring the sound back.



You don't just sit around wating for good stuff to happen, you have to make it happen.

i hope so! i'm like the only 13-year-old that listens to Elvis, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, ACDC, Green Day and all that other good stuff at my school! the stuff that stinks is good! it makes no sense! that's just my opinion though.
Well honestly who are you to say that someone else's music is not acceptable. You aren't. For another you have the ability to turn off the radio, and put in earphones, so stop complaining.

I hope so, because they don't play Alice Cooper's new stuff on the radio and the rest of the bands I like are dead.
There still IS true rock and roll. You just have to look carefully in the cracks of mainstream music.
I honestly hope so because we need them not the ones we have today Classics are ten times mejor =)
