Why did teens love rock and roll in the late 50's?

i knwo they liked it cuz it was easy to listen to but what else? im talkng late 1950's like 1957-9|||it was something totally new to them|||it was rebellious and new, something their parents didn't approve of.|||It was new and trendy.|||It freaked their parents out, and every generation's teens are looking for new ways to be rebellious. When Elvis was on Ed Sullivan, they insisted he be filmed from the waist up only to avoid freaking the parents out.
