No one invented Rock and Roll but Elvis did bring it to a wider audience.





A lot of heros are responsible for Rock and Roll names include Jimmie Rodgers, Robert Johnson, Hank Williams,Ike Turner, Chuck Berry, Sam Phillips, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Cowboy records, Atlantic Recording Corporation, Sun Records, Otis Blackwell, Bill Haley, Scotty Moore.....It is primarily derived from Blues and Country



I feel like i'm leaving a ton of people off that deserved to be mentioned|||Rock'n'roll was never really invented, it just evolved from late '50's jazz %26amp; R %26amp; B. Bill Haley got us up dancing as did Little Richard, they were two of the first recognized rockers in R %26amp; R history. Check out on the net these following artists:-Wynonie Harris; The Ravens; Louis Jordan; 'Stick' McGhee; The Dominoes; The Clovers; 'Big Mama' Thornton; The Moonglows %26amp; The Charms.
