They've been around since 1967, have toured every single year since then, sold 38 million albums in the US, and have had 21 Top Ten hits. As far as American bands go, they're second to only the Beach Boys in terms of singles and albums. Terry Kath, their guitarist during their early years, is one of the best and most underrated of all time. They're often written off because they went soft in the 80s.





Whoever wrote REM...they ARE in the Hall of Fame!





And a band has to have released their first album 25 years before in order to be eligible. So that rules out Nirvana...for now.|||What band has out sold The Moody Blues and have been around for 46 years now.


They have so many first as a band and as solo members that to deny them membership in the Hall is the biggest joke in rock and roll music now.


In fact their fans have a petition going to keep them out of the place.
